DORCHESTER GARDEN

Elegant, symmetrical, and deeply connected to its surroundings, The Dorchester Garden was crafted to echo the timeless architecture of the adjoining Neo-Georgian townhouse.

Stepping into the garden reveals a sequence of distinct outdoor seating areas, each shaped by graceful pleached trees to create its own quiet atmosphere. A material palette of buff limestone, ironstone, and Corten steel establishes a rich, tactile sense of place. The simple, rectilinear layout provides the perfect backdrop for the juxtaposed naturalistic planting.

The planting features a lush tapestry of purples, creams, and chartreuse with successional waves of interest throughout the year. Multi-stem Cornus kousa 'White Fountain' and Crataegus persimilis 'Prunifolia' serve as focal points, lending the space rhythm and structure. Both species are multi-seasonal stars, offering spectacular autumn colour, abundant fruits, and showy flowers.
