Russell Godden Studio is based in Exeter, Devon, and our projects take us throughout the UK, with the majority focused in Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire. We work on a variety of project types from small garden designs to large country houses, estates and rural landscapes.
Russell Godden Studio is dedicated to creating spaces with a strong sense of place and ecological connection. Through creative exploration, technical knowledge and an analytical design approach, we deliver beautifully crafted spaces that centre around impactful and immersive planting schemes.
Our planting designs are dynamic with successive waves of colour, form and texture that create visual interest throughout the entire year.
We draw inspiration from natural landscapes and the rich history of classical British garden design. We endeavor to create gardens that evoke powerful emotions and connect our clients with the natural world. By working side-by-side with our clients from conception to completion we are able to realize their dreams. The first step of that journey is the initial consultation, which allows us to meet the client, discuss their aspirations for the garden, and to better understand the present space.
OUR SERVICES
We strive to create immersive spaces which engage all the senses. The fresh fragrance of flowers, the trickling of water along a rill, the sound of rustling grasses. The gardens we design evoke powerful emotions ranging from calm to excitement. We work with clients to understand how they would like to feel within their garden before we design.
